I talked to LSS yesterday to see if they had received any of the items that they're supposed to be getting. She said the medical forms came, and 1 referral letter is in. That means, we just have to wait for 2 more referral letters, and then we need to send in a couple more forms once we move on the 18th. I have them pretty much ready to go, so I should be able to toss them straight in the mail on that day. After that we wait for the home study.
I'm getting anxious. I feel like this has been a whole bunch of "hurry up and wait" for us. We worked so hard to get everything completed before the adoption training, and now it seems like it's taking forever to finish the rest of it. If we didn't have to redo things because of the move, it probably could've been done faster.
adoption is very much a hurry up and wait sort of deal - it is a lesson of patience for sure : ) excited to get to follow your journey and good luck with your homestudy!
